OUR MISSION
....Is to alleviate the symptoms of loneliness and promote independence for supported adults both at home and in the community. Our services are available to anyone who feels that they would benefit from having a little extra support including (But certainly not limited to) elderly, physical impaired, learning disabilities and mental health.
By offering a truly bespoke service we can cater to each of our client's individual needs to give them a more enriched and engaging experience. We want out positive influence to continue even when our services have finished for the day, so we work closely with our clients building a relationship of trust and empowering them to make their own choices and decisions.
With our experience and legacy we fully recognise that our work is a team effort alongside our clients' friends, family and carers and spend a considerable and equally important amount of time liaising with them, ensuring their satisfaction and giving them support when they need a break.

Company at Home
Our most popular service, as it can have the biggest impact on well-being. Companionship and conversation make a real difference to quality of life and provide social interaction and friendship. This service can also give the primary caregiver (partner, neighbour, friend, or relative) the opportunity to take time for themselves, knowing their loved one is in capable hands. |
Accompanied Holidays
We help arrange suitable accommodations and provide up to 24-hour support as needed. Whether it's a day trip or a week away, we ensure you have the assistance required to enjoy your trip. We also organise group outings, allowing you to meet new friends. Note: All clients must be medically fit to travel. Documentation from a doctor may be required prior to booking. |

Social Activities
Maintaining involvement in social groups or community events is essential for well-being. Whether it's arts and crafts, cinema, or dancing, we are here to support you. Appointment Transportation
We offer transport to and from appointments, staying with you for support during your appointment, and ensuring you return home safely. Support with Housework We can assist with dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning kitchen and bathroom areas. If you're unable to participate, we can complete these tasks on your behalf, using your usual products. We also offer assistance with washing and ironing. |
Accompanied Outings
Stay socially active and engaged with our accompanied outings. Whether it's dancing, swimming, bingo, theatre, or cinema, we’ll be happy to join you. Shopping with You
Stay independent and connected to your community with our shopping assistance. Whether it's grocery shopping or casual outings, we can accompany you, either walking or driving you to and from the shops. Shopping for You We take the hassle out of shopping by handling it for you. Simply provide a list, and we'll do the rest. |

"I started
HaywardBefriending after caring for a close friend, Ronald Morrell. After Ron's wife passed away I saw how hard it was for him to adapt to life alone. As he got older I visited him throughout the week to help with his daily life as well as personal care. I found a passion for wanting the best possible quality-of-ife for Ron and other people in his position. When he died in 2006 at the age of 88 l began voluntary work for Age Concern where my passion flourished. However I soon realised there was a need in the community for a dedicated befriending service that supported and empowered all supported adults - not just the elderly - to maintain an independent lifestyle." |
